Kindergarten Introduction
Established in 2019 X.L.X Songjiang Campus is affiliated with Yushen Education Group and is committed to providing high-end international education. X.L.X kindergarten officially became an IB Candidate School in November 2019, which started our IB journey. X.L.X Kindergarten sets its curriculum by integrating the Chinese National Curriculum and the IB PYP framework. Supplemented by a diverse range of extended courses, which provides interdisciplinary inquiry integration courses for children, aiming to cultivate children's open-minded, active thinking, caring, broad international vision, shaping good personality and developing civilized behavior.

General Principal & Director of IB
Iain Riley was born in Scotland and graduated from the University of Derby with a Master’s in Education, University of Dundee with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and the University of Stirling with his Bachelors in History and English. He has extensive teaching and leading experience having taught in Scotland, Japan, Turkey and Egypt. This marks Iain's 11th year in China. Previously Iain has been a PYP teacher, Grade Coordinator and later served as the Assistant Head at a famous international school in Shanghai. Iain led LYBS to become accredited as an IB PYP school and MYP school. He is excited to be working with the kindergartens and assist them in becoming IB PYP authorized. Iain has a solid understanding of the IB and works with the IB as an online Workshop Leader. Iain is also very familiar with the integration of the Chinese National Curriculum and the IB.

X.L.X Kindergarten is staffed by both Chinese and foreign teachers with rich experience and outstanding teaching ability. All our teachers are trained by official IB trainers and take on different roles within the school to enhance the learning and teaching for the students and the general kindergarten environment.
